Sharakni is a carpool and ride sharing platform connecting drivers and passengers across Algeria. This policy applies to all users of the Sharakni app and website. By using Sharakni, you agree to the practices described here.

- Name, phone number, email, password (hashed), profile photo.
- Government ID (optional, for verification), date of birth.
- Vehicle details (for drivers): make/model, color, plate (masked), seats.

- In‑app messages and call metadata (time/duration), not call audio.
- Transaction records: prices, currency, status; no full card numbers stored by us.
- Approximate and precise location (GPS, Wi‑Fi, cellular) for matching, navigation, and safety.

- Cookies, local storage, SDKs for login persistence, analytics, fraud prevention, and ads (where applicable).
3) How We Use Data

- Payments: process fares/fees, resolve chargebacks, and provide receipts.

- In‑app chat and masked calling for coordination and safety.

- Ratings and reviews to foster trust within the Sharakni community.
11) Payments
Payments are processed by third‑party processors. We do not store full payment card numbers. Payment data is handled under the processors’ security standards.
12) Children
Sharakni is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a minor has provided data, contact us for removal.
13) Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit, role‑based access, and regular monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
14) How to Delete Your Account
- Open the Sharakni app > Profile > Settings.
- Select Account > Delete Account.
- Confirm your phone/email and follow the prompts. We will begin deletion within 30 days unless required to retain certain data for legal or safety reasons (e.g., outstanding issues, fraud prevention, or tax obligations).
If you cannot access the app, email us from your registered email with subject “Account Deletion Request”.
15) Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to our practices or for legal/operational reasons. We will notify you through the app or by email. The updated date at the top indicates the latest revision.
